The deadline is fast approaching for kids entering kindergarten to be enrolled in Maumee’s Safety City program. The program takes place at Wayne Trail Elementary school, 1147-7th Street. There is classroom instruction by a teacher including crafts and songs. Then the children head outside to learn safety rules and test their ability at driving “cars.” The program runs from June 5-16 with morning and afternoon sessions. The deadline to enroll a child is May 29. There are applications available online and on Facebook. There is a fee to enroll. This is a great learning experience for children and lots of fun too.
