Wreaths Across America

I want to thank the many volunteers who spent a recent Saturday placing wreaths on the graves of veterans at the two Maumee cemeteries. My grandfather, who is buried in Riverside Cemetery, is one of the recipients of a wreath. As my family and I visit the gravesite each Christmas, it is heartwarming to know that the community remembers his service with a fresh wreath. He was a veteran of World War II serving a portion of his time on the island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands before returning to America and my grandmother. I appreciate all those who volunteered that day.
