One of my favorite Maumee events is the annual Holiday Light parade. This year it will be Saturday, Nov. 27, at 6 pm. I can’t believe this is the 20th anniversary of the parade. I well remember the year the Maumee Garden Club entered a float. We assembled the float in my friends Sara and Don Becker’s garage. A few ladies from the club rode on the float and it was cold, cold, cold but we persevered and made it through the whole parade thanks to lots of coffee. I hope you will join in the fun this year. And for runners, there is the 5K Holiday Hustle race through the streets of Maumee starting at 2:15. The race starts and ends at the Maumee Indoor.
