The city of Maumee has declared the hours for Halloween trick-or-treating to be 6-8 pm. It’s a Monday, so parents will be hustling to get dinner into the kids and then get them dressed and ready for the 6 pm start. Here is my hint to make the evening go a bit smoother. I like to put ingredients for a meal in the slow cooker that morning, so dinner is not so rushed and is nutritious. Make it a kids’ favorite so they will be sure to eat it.
I always have great fun handing out candy and seeing what creative costumes the neighborhood kids bring to my door. And, like everyone else, snack on a few treats from the bowl myself.
