Here’s a new twist on making a difference for children in the Maumee School District. Each year some parents are unable to keep pace with the cost of their child (childrens’) lunch food expenses. I know one organization that decided to collect funds at their holiday gathering and donate the amount to pay for the food accounts that had fallen behind. The Maumee Schools’ food service was appreciative of the donation and applied it to the deficit running on those accounts. Think about this “food-raiser” for your next event or holiday gathering.
