The roundabout at Weckerly and Monclova near Stevens’ Farm is now open. Progress continues in uptown Maumee with concrete poured for sidewalks. If you drive north on 475/23, you will notice there is not much bridge left where Garden Road passes over the highway. Reconstruction of the roadway is underway now. I suspect it is in preparation of the two additional lanes being added to 475/23 from Airport Highway through the Maumee exits. Having grown up on West Harrison, the news that the city is closing off that street and East Harrison’s access to Conant is thought-provoking. I’ll have to poll my former neighbors to get their take on the change.
