For the 44th year, the Maumee Uptown Business Association is hosting the Maumee Summer Fair August 12 and 13. It is not too late to sign up for booth space for Saturday, August 13. Visit the website and register at www.maumeesummerfair.com. Mike Dibling has again devoted his time and talent to head the summer fair this year. Kicking off the event off Friday evening, August 12, is Taste of Maumee with area restaurants providing food and beverages. I have fond memories of walking uptown to get dinner for my grandfather who lived nearby and sharing it on those Friday nights in August.
