Members of the Maumee Garden Club got a view into what the next generation has on its mind for our planet. Three students from the Environmental Club led the tour on the school’s grounds to the native prairie, greenhouse, rain garden, bird sanctuary and indoor recycling efforts. Teachers Christine Smith and James Magoun, who work with the club, accompanied the members on the tour and provided commentary along the way. At the end of the meeting, the garden club presented the students with a $200 check to honor their efforts.
