Uptown Maumee business changes

The city of Maumee has purchased the building presently housing Citizens Bank in the heart of its uptown. Plans are in the works to add a new business to the area. Citizens will move out Nov. 9, 2021.

Also in uptown Maumee, Sunshine Communities has expanded its footprint in the city. It has opened another location for use by its staff and residents. There, they will assist Georgette’s by filling coffee bags, offer paper shredding and recycling of cans and plastic. Twenty-five individuals are expected to be employed.
