Uptown Maumee changes get final approval from Council

The two lane to one lane change on Conant Street will now be permanent. Council voted March 1 in favor of the change. A design company has been chosen to assist with the final plans. In addition to changes in the Uptown area, a new joint plan is being developed for Anthony Wayne Trail by the city and ODOT. Proposed is a lower speed limit, trees, street curbs and a bike lane. Street lighting will also be added with extension arms for banner displays. The changes will extend to Monclova Road and encompass the new Side Cut Crossing project.
